About Maria Kerr....      Ms. Kerr has been providing Social Work services in the community for over 30 years.  In 1974, she began her work with the geriatric population and continues to offer her expertise in this area.  She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in 1982.  Upon graduation, she entered into private practice and maintains this practice in Stony Brook, NY.  Ms. Kerr is a member in good standing of the National Association of Social Workers and the Academy of Certified Social Workers.  She is also a Board Certified Diplomat in the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work.  She has studied Eriksonian Hypnosis under several clinicians over the past fifteen years.  In 2005, the Wellness Institute certified her as a Clinical Hypnotherapist.  She is a Member of the National Guild of Hypnotists and the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists.  She is licensed by the State Education Departments of NY and PA, as a Clinical Social Worker.  She has treated a vast clientele with diverse issues.  Her experience will assist you in your efforts to achieve and maintain good mental and physical health and well being.
